.
Today through November 29, purchase one 2011 session and receive an additional session free. Give both sessions as gifts, give one and keep one, or keep both and plan on a spring AND holiday session! Another great use would be to do one session with your immediate family, and another with extended family – cousins, grandparents, etc. Know anyone who’s expecting a baby in 2011? Go ahead and get them a maternity and/or newborn session!

- Weekend rate only, although sessions can be scheduled on any available dates on a first come, first serve basis.
- It is not necessary to schedule sessions at the time of purchase, but clients are strongly encouraged to schedule at least one month in advance of desired dates.

The last time I saw this baby girl, she was brand new to the world. Now she is smiling, laughing, waving, clapping, almost crawling. Although I hear that just days after this session she decided it was time to get a move on!

Miss A…

My husband is a great dad.

…and deserves some recognition. I know there are a lot of you good dads out there, and you deserve some kudos, too, but tonight I’m focusing on the great dad in my house. I write this while I wait for CM to come home from her first date…with her dad. As I watched them get ready for an evening of dining and dancing, I was thinking of a story I once heard about a young girl who was taken on a trip to Paris with her father. Just her and her dad. She had siblings, and her parents were happily married. But, he said something along the lines of, “Every girl should go to Paris for the first time with a man who will love her forever.” I thought that was incredibly sweet.

It may not have been Paris, just a hotel ballroom with Disney music, but CM felt very special as they were leaving. As with so many events in our lives, it’s the memory of how we felt, and not the physical details that stay with us. I hope she’ll always remember how her dad made her feel.

Every girl should go on her very first date with the man who will love her, without reservation, all of her life.

Thanks, T, for being that man to our girls.

An overdue sneak peek for the talented Kate Gardiner and her family. It’s always fun and a little stressful to photograph a photographer!

Here is a shot from the session that our family had with Kate this summer.

Love this one.

A day at the farm.

An afternoon at Conner’s A-maizing-ing Acres. Last year we got so lost that we ended up driving off road for miles and got there with only enough time to do the corn maize and hay ride in the dark. We had a great time and enjoyed the recent onset of cool weather. If you’re in Jacksonville and haven’t made it out here, I highly recommend it. Only one more weekend left, and I think military families are free next weekend.

We managed to be the only passengers on the last run of the hay ride. The two local boys who were running the ride asked us how come almost everyone who came that day was from Jacksonville but none of us knew each other. They said, “Round here, everybody knows everybody.” We were happy to report we did run into our neighbors from down the street! But, they were still baffled that Jax could be so big that we didn’t know all our neighbors.
